Care & Preservation

Answers to frequently asked questions:

How is the art mounted?
Each canvas painting is mounted on a 1.5-inch solid pinewood frame.

Are the edges finished?
Yes, the canvas paintings are finished with contemporary white edging.

Are the pieces varnished?
Canvas paintings are varnished with a UV protectant. The works on paper are not varnished because the varnish often darkens the vibrant colours of the gouache.

How do I hang my painting?
Canvas paintings will arrive with hardware already attached and ready to be hung. Works on paper will need to be framed to be hung.

How do I clean my canvas painting?
Use a damp cloth to gently dust and clean.

Do you recommend framing the paper pieces?
Yes. Sometimes gouache reactivates with moisture and fades with sunlight. It is recommended to protect your paper painting with a glass or plexiglass frame and to hang it out of direct sunlight.

The colours in the painting look different in real life than on my computer screen. Why is this?
It is important to note that the colours in your painting can look different depending on room lighting, your computer settings, and mobile settings. Every effort is made to ensure the images you see online are as accurate as possible.
